Own label healthy ranges shrink from shelves
A recent survey by Brand View has revealed that the range of healthy lines stocked across supermarkets have decreased since this same time last year.
The market intelligence company have tracked healthy lines such as Tesco’s Healthy Living, ASDA’s Good For You and Sainsbury’s Be Good to Yourself to review the range stocked this November versus those stocked a year ago.
The range stocked across Tesco, ASDA and Sainsbury’s has diminished over this time with 13% fewer lines than a year ago.
Range checks based on the range stocked on 1st November 2011 vs. 1st November 2012 across Own Label Healthy Lines. Data tracked across Ambient, Chilled and Frozen Grocery categories.
ASDA’s range is down as much as 20% year-on-year, while Tesco has decreased by 13% and Sainsbury’s Own Label Healthy range is down by 11%.
