First wearable that tracks physical movement and state of mind
Spire, a wearable that tracks activity and state-of-mind, launches in Europe this summer. Providing in-the-moment insights to reduce stress and increase calm, Spire’s machine learning anticipates stressful events before they happen and alerts users with actionable insights on how to prepare.
By measuring breathing patterns, Spire makes users aware of their focus, tension, and calm levels to ensure they achieve their personal goals, be they fitness, relaxation, or productivity. The nature-inspired tracker can be worn comfortably and discreetly on the hip or torso and is washer proof. The Spire companion app goes beyond displaying data to provide notifications of significant events – say, a tense 30 minutes at work – and offers guided activities to shift state of mind, such as a breathing exercise or a relaxing walk.
Jonathan Palley, Co-Founder, and CEO of Spire, said:
“Over the last year alone, Spire has tracked more than 200 million minutes of calm, focus and tension and billions of steps. We’ve used this data to build a solution that makes mindfulness more accessible for even more people. With the launch in Apple retail stores, we are excited to bring our market-leading mindfulness technology to new distribution channels and reach a larger market."
