Best New Health & Nutrition Product
Nutristrength is a lifestyle products brand based in the UK which was launched by two brothers seeking to provide more authentic products to maintain healthy lives with none of the cheap promises and quick fixes.
Having relaunched in April the company has got off to a tremendous start. At this year’s Natural & Organic Awards Europe, entrepreneur and Dragon’s Den star Deborah Meaden, who congratulated entrants for “answering the questions the consumer had not yet asked, went on to award Nutristrength with the Award for Best New Health & Nutrition Product for their Goat & Sheep Whey Protein. Co-Founders Chris Astill-Smith and Adam Hutchin felt that this comment was reflective of Nutristrength’s Goat and Sheep Whey Protein, commenting:
“We know that there are a lot of people who want a supplementary protein but are intolerant to cows milk, this normally means they revert to a plant based protein like pea. Nutristrength Goat & Sheep Whey offers those same consumers a great tasting, milk based protein which they won’t be intolerant to.”
We spoke to Chris Astill-Smith at their prominently positioned stand at women’s health and fitness festival Be:Fit London. What struck us the most was how successfully Nutristrength are in marketing their product, not as another off shoot of bulk-up body building supplements, but rather as a premium nutri-food brand. The packaging is quite unlike anything else on the market using premium materials and the kind of bold and clean modern design that would look right at home on the shelves of Waitrose and would certainly stand out from the bulky bags and tubs at GNC. Where men can try and tackle their bigorexia by seeking out supplement formulations that seem more “jacked-up”, women’s nutrition focuses more prominently upon the perception that clean, simple and natural equals healthy. If the trends continue as predicted the future could look very bright indeed for this brand.
