Coconut energy coming to Amsterdam
We’re all working much too long and much too hard making feelings of tiredness and fatigue an all too common experience. Dutch entrepreneur Conchita Daniel however, decided to do something about it. She has created Go!, a new drink that she hopes will provide that much-needed pep, but from healthy all-natural sources rather than the empty calories and artificial ingredients of more common fizzy and energy drinks.
Go! is formulated from four key ingredients. The main ingredient is coconut water, which has boomed over the past 3 years and now a staple in most chiller cabinets as it tastes good, easily blending with other flavours and contains naturally high levels of electrolytes, including potassium, calcium and magnesium, which have made it popular as a sports drink. The next ingredient of interest is ginger which has supported claims for its anti-inflammatory properties, although in the quantities included in the drink its main purpose is to add some warmth to the flavour. Finally, sugarcane is used to provided sweetness being a lower GI source of sweetness as well as more alkaline than refined sugars, as well as lime juice to bring it all together with a zing.
Go! will launch in Amsterdam in January 2017.
